[Interview With Sloan]

[Q] How is the new album different from your previous albums?
[A] Jay: Uhm, I would say it’s a little bit different in that, uhm, this is probably the most democratic album of all of them. This is the first time when everybody in the band has three songs each. Before it would often be probably be Kris would have the predominant amount maybe 5. Patrick would probably have 4, Andrew 2 or 3 and I would have 2, kind of Usually split up like that. Uhm so everybody has 3.

Uhm, I don’t know how to we tried to link allot of the songs together, ah, with little musical passages that kind of fit, or the last song of the last chord of one song would be the first chord of the next. So that was something new that we hadn’t really tried before, but, as far as the music it’s just like a collection of songs that ah it’s not dry I don’t think we went into the studio with a set, OK, this album is going to sound like ..X Ya know?
