Answer: It would really go back to getting involved in speech and debate. I was once very shy, didn't talk a lot, didn't have a lot of friends, was just very nervous and you still get nervous when you speak in front of groups of people but speech and debate so much. That probably helped me more than even going to get a masters in broadcast journalism because it really laid the ground work for being able to tell stories and write, communicate and talk to friends and ad-lib. So my advice is to get involved in speech and debate. If you can't do it in high school, do it in college.
