[Interview With Jim Cuddy]

[Q] Where are your most inspiring places to write songs?
[A] Well, to write songs all I need is a guitar; so it can be pretty much anywhere, but to finish a song, I need to be by myself, and once I get a song going in my head, then it just stays with me. It'll be with my in my sleep; I'll sort of tap my foot in my sleep, and think about it. And then I usually drive somewhere, and then I stop, maybe down by the water in Toronto, and I don't leave that place until I've finished the song. And at that point, I would pretty much have the melody and the ranging worked out, but I wouldn't have finished the lyrics. So I have to isolate myself to finish, but to start, once it's there, it's with me all the time.
