[Interview With Jim Cuddy]

[Q] How old were you when you wrote your first song, and how has your style of song writing changed?
[A] Since I was a kid? I probably wrote my first song when I was 11. I wrote songs because it was easier than learning people songs. So, I think I re-wrote the lyrics to a Gordon Lightfoot song, and that was my first. Then when I was in high school, I started to write songs about things that I was feeling and, my song writing has changed emeasurably since then, just because I've learned how to do it. I've followed a lot of songwriters; you know, Castello, and just all the songwriters that I like. I've just learned how to put more dimensions into song writing.
